1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SnakeBucks collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the game. SnakeBucks is a mobile arcade game developed by Frostbit Studios. The game includes Unity Ads for rewarded ads, interstitial ads, and banner ads.
2. Information We Collect
SnakeBucks may collect or process the following information:
- Date of birth information entered in the game: the game asks for month, day, and year of birth to determine the appropriate ad experience. This information is stored locally on your device.
- Ad-related information: when ads are loaded or shown, Unity Ads may collect information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, diagnostics, and performance information as described in Unity's privacy documentation.
2A. Information We Do Not Request Directly
In this build, SnakeBucks does not require account creation and does not ask you to submit your name, email address, phone number, home address, payment information, or government ID directly to Frostbit Studios through the app.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Run and operate the game.
- Determine whether the player should receive contextual ads or ads for older audiences.
- Provide rewarded, interstitial, and banner ads through Unity Ads.
- Maintain security, diagnose issues, and improve stability.
4. Age Screen and Advertising
SnakeBucks includes a date-of-birth screen before ads are initialized. The birth date entered by the player is stored on the device so the game can remember the choice on later launches.
The app uses the result of that age screen to configure ad treatment. For users identified as under the applicable age threshold, the game is configured to request contextual or non-personalized ads. For older users, the game may allow personalized-eligible ad treatment through Unity Ads. The app code does not send the full birth date to Unity Ads; it sends only the resulting privacy classification signals needed for ad configuration.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate the game and ads.
For this version of SnakeBucks, that includes:
- Unity Ads / Unity: for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related operational purposes.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
The birth date entered in SnakeBucks is stored locally on the device until the app data is cleared, the app is uninstalled, or the stored value is removed in a future app update.
Frostbit Studios does not maintain a player account database for SnakeBucks in this build. Data collected by Unity Ads is retained according to Unity's own policies. Please review Unity's privacy information for additional details.
7. Children's Privacy
SnakeBucks uses an age-screen flow designed to support mixed-audience compliance. If a player is identified as below the applicable age threshold, the game is configured to request child-appropriate or contextual ad treatment. Parents or guardians who have questions may contact us using the contact details below.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Third-party services used by the game, including Unity Ads, are responsible for protecting information they process within their systems.
9. Third-Party Services
SnakeBucks currently uses the following third-party service:
- Unity Ads / Unity Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
